Smart Manager

The Smart Manager on Cacti is your window into exploring and accessing your photos from various sources. Smart Manager would be the primary place from which you choose photos to add to your Vault. The Cacti App supports the following sources, and many more are in the works.

Suggestions

If Cacti has your permission to access your Photos Library, Cacti starts analyzing the library by running each photo through our proprietary on-device intelligence (Machine Learning Model) to identify only the images that may be considered intimate/personal.

The Suggestions section shows you these hand-picked intimate/personal images that you can quickly add to your vault to keep them safe.

We trained our ML Model by teaching it not to enforce any standards and to not be judgmental. We have trained our model with images that cover most cultures and social backgrounds to be non-discriminatory. Given the subjective nature of what’s considered intimate, and how people have different views on this, you may see some content that may not consider intimate, and some others may not see content that they feel is intimate.

Our ML Model is still very new, and we are teaching it to be as holistic as possible. We welcome any feedback from you. We will be very conscious about your privacy and respect it to the highest extent, if you contact us. Please find the App Feedback section on the app (In Settings; look for the Gear icon) and write to us.

My Albums

If Cacti has your permission to access your Photos Library, Cacti will show you all the albums in your Photos Library. This is helpful if you want to move content from specific albums over to the vault. We know a lot of you are organized and love making albums wherever relevant. This section is for you.

Media Types

If Cacti has your permission to access your Photos Library, Cacti will show you content from your Photos Library grouped by their Media Types. This is helpful if you are trying to look for a specific type of media item.

Clipboard

No matter where you are, if you find an image that you want to add to your vault, just copy it using the iOS copy option. Just open Cacti app and scroll to this section and you will have your copied photo inside your vault in just a few taps.

You can copy photos from websites, from messages you receive, from emails, and various other places, without ever adding these photos to your Photos Library.

Share Extension

The Cacti app ships with a Share Extension that would enable you to add up to 20 photos to your Cacti Vault from any other app on your iPhone.

The Share Extension lives on the iOS Activity View which is nothing but the view that appears on tapping the share button in various apps. Just share a photo from any app and scroll to find the Cacti app icon from the share sheet and tap on it. If you can’t find Cacti’s app icon, click on More towards the very end of the list and enable the Cacti.

In the view that’s presented next, you would be shown a preview of all the photos you would be adding to the vault. Confirm that, enter your passphrase, and be done with it. It’s that simple.

Note that the Biometric Unlock feature is not available in the Cacti Share Extension at the moment.
